Last week, our customer Orkan launched an innovative promotion using gift cards to promote their new washer fluid pump system. The campaign highlights a significant environmental impact, in 2024 nearly 9,775 plastic bottles were saved because customers could directly pump washer fluid into their cars.
The process is simple: users scan a QR code, enter their phone number, and shortly after, receive a 1.000 ISK gift card for washer fluid—covering a full tank. The gift card is added to Apple or Google Wallet and can be used directly at the pump.
Since 2023, Orkan has been leveraging the GAMCHANG3R Gift to Wallet ecosystem for issuing customer cards and gift cards. This campaign beautifully demonstrates how gift cards can drive promotions, educate customers about new products and encourage visits to new locations.
