We’re excited to share a project we’ve been working on for the past few months with Bónus, which has now come to fruition.
When Bónus customers using the Gripið & Greitt service log into the app, they can download their customer card into their Wallet. The customer card in Apple or Google Wallet is then scanned at the start of their shopping trip to receive a scanner, allowing them to scan their items directly into their shopping bag as they move through the store.
Game Chang3r’s Wallet solutions are perfect for this project because the customer card sends push notifications when you approach the store, making it easy to open the card and start shopping. The Wallet solution also serves as a marketing tool that Bónus can use to send push notifications to users, conveying messages based on their location (GPS) as well as independently of their location.
Gripið & Greitt (see here: Gripið & Greitt) is a new implementation of a scanning solution where customers use hand scanners to scan products directly into their bags, pay, and walk out. The novelty in Bónus’s implementation lies primarily in the device—the scanner, which is specially designed for such a project. Customers can also use shopping lists in the app, analyze their shopping history, and more, enhancing its usability even further.
